We (me and friends) have messed up so many tailgates over the years hauling wheelers with the gates down that I wont haul one with the gate down anymore. If the wheeler doesn't fit in the bed with the gate closed I wont haul it, it goes on a trailer. Heres some pics of my wheeler in the bed, and I have had no problems loading it , I use Trifold aluminum ramps and havent seen any indicaton that I will have problems continuing to use it this way, other than scratched paint from the ramps, but I will be getting the bed sprayed this winter. Oh and I have loaded it quite a few times. I have about 1000 lbs in the bed in these pics.
