Yes, the metal on the outer skin is ripped so the tailgate will have to be replaced. The ramps that I use are a double fold ramp with a 10 inch overhang approx. every foot. I have used this ramp on three other brands of trucks through the years and never had a problem. Like I say just one of those flaws.
