You may have to have a mechanics scan tool or one of the ScanGuages to reset the Maintenance Light.

Then again, you might try the 2nd Gen procedure that mhadden described in another thread; "To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn’t come on yet), you’ll need to turn your key to on (but don’t start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don’t start the engine!) The display panel will count down from '------' to '-' Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done."

IMO, if this happens very often (and you're sure it is not a real problem), the procedure described by mhadden doesn't work, and you're having to pay someone to reset the light, it might pay to pick up a ScanGuage from SOCAL Motorsports at $150 delivered! My 2 cents!
