cold side brake light wire color and location 01

I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning searching the web for a definitive answer and I spent the rest of the morning testing every green, green and yellow, green and white and green and red wire I could find behind the left kick panel. I haven't found the cold side brake wire yet! I DON"T want to have to run a wire all the way to the rear or to the thrid brake light. HELP!

I don't know what you mean by the "cold side". But you can find the brake light switch wires right above the brakes. Should be an orange wire on a switch.

The cold side goes to the brake lights and the hot side goes to the fuse panel. There is a wrapped bundled set of wires plugged into the brake switch but they are practically inaccessible. That's why I need the color, so I can get at it in the kick panel where there is working room. The wire running FROM my brake light is green with a red stripe. I found a wire with those colors in the kick panel, but it doesn't move my meter when I hit the brakes. There is no orange wire running to the brakes.

I asked a couple of dealer service departments. Their answer was: "bring it in; we'll hook it up."

I found it. It was the tiny white/green wire in the bundle that goes along the inside of the door sill.
