| Leveling Kits and Axle paths Hello all, Just put a Pro-Comp 2.5" leveling kit on an '02' Tundra. The kit went on flawless, had the truck aligned, and other than having to replace the cv boot straps because of axle greese leakage, have not had any issues...until now. Any one else installing this kit have any axle "noise" or "vibration" after installation. I have an audible noise and vibration that does not match the speed of the wheels at 35-40mph. My mechanic told me that everything is tight and ship shape and that the axle path has been changed irregardless of the new 1" diff. spacers that came with the kit and the axle or axle's may make this noise/vibration for a while to re-seat themselves. The noise/vibration stops completely when engaged in 4 wheel drive and goes away after the truck is driven for a few miles and warmed up. And like I said, the vibration doesn't match the speed of rotation of the tires. Weird I know, and it's frustrating to say the least. Thanks for any insight in advance! Trevin. |

| That's an odd problem. Maybe it's the CV boots flexing incorrectly from them not lined correctly when the new straps were put on. That would be more of a popping noise though.

| Toxarch, Checked that after the first go around with the boots leaking greese, thanks again for the tip. This is a weird one. Pro-Comp of course has never heard of this happening with this kit. Just going to see if the issue persists, or starts to fade in a couple of weeks I guess. By the way, sick front end on your truck. You only see Dodge and Fords with that style of bull bumper in these parts, (Bellingham, WA) very nice! |

| Thanks for the compliment on the truck. When my axle boot leaked, I tried a clamp and the dealer tried 2 of them. They all came off eventually. Only thing that would hold it in place was a worm hose clamp. No problems noticed with the clamp and it stayed in place. |

| TOX, Have you noticed where UCA is a little seepage of grease from under plastic (I guess its a boot) after install of your OME? I took it back to 4x4 shop where installed and they told me not to worry about angle, only a little off level and that that seepage can be seen on stock trucks as well. Should that be greased on occasion, I was told its not greasable? I wish I can post picks...... Quote:
