Hello All

Just bought a new to me 06, SR5 4 door with the 4.7 V8. Very happy with the truck so far. Anyone got an idea on gas mileage? Salesman says 20, I think that's pretty optomistic. I calculated around 15. That's some hwy, mostly around town.

IMO, 20 mpg is very optimistic. Based on my experience with the Gen 1 Tundra and the 4.7, you should average about 16.5-17 on the highway and 13.5 -14 around town.

And, btw, noticed this is your first post, so welcome to TTZ!

I agree with rarjar's estimate of fuel consumption. A buddy of mine has a gen 1 Tundra and we were talking gas mileage last week, and 17 was about all he saw on the interstate at 70mph.
