| Hello All Just bought a new to me 06, SR5 4 door with the 4.7 V8. Very happy with the truck so far. Anyone got an idea on gas mileage? Salesman says 20, I think that's pretty optomistic. I calculated around 15. That's some hwy, mostly around town.  |

| IMO, 20 mpg is very optimistic. Based on my experience with the Gen 1 Tundra and the 4.7, you should average about 16.5-17 on the highway and 13.5 -14 around town. And, btw, noticed this is your first post, so welcome to TTZ!

| Thanks Guys........pics to come. Will be looking for some upgrades shortly. Nerf bars, bedliner & rims to start. Anyone got pics of 20" rims on a 1st gen?? May have a deal brewin............. |
