| I just wanted to chime in, we had a stock intake setup flow tested and you all should know this, the top air box only flows at about 570 cfm, the bottom of the box is a nice injection molded piece and it flows at an amazing 1200 cfm, just the top box is really restrictive. The intake tube itself slows flow because of the flex tube makes the air very turbulent, and the inside diameter of the tube itself tapers down at the throttle body and creates some turbulance also, we have found that moving the MAF further down closer to the TB lets us put much more air in without making the computer mad, the maf sensors on these trucks are very sensitive not like a chevrolet one, I will get pics up of our testing, I only have 1 piece on right now just seeing how much air we can push through and keep the computer happy. |
