| I agree with Tox pretty much. The exhaust systems on modern trucks are designed to move the Torque and Horsepower down the RPM range where it's more usable for towing and hauling. As soon as you increase the diameter of the exhaust and the intake you will increase Horsepower and torque but unfortunately any gains will be higher up the RPM scale. Great for racing but bad for towing.
This is where programmers come into play because with a programmer you can alter the timing and fuel delivery to compensate for this change and move the HP and torque up and down the RPM range. |
