Pretty good brakes. I've been pulling a horse trailer without the brake controller and you can hardly tell the diffrence unless you have to stop to quick. The trailer will push the truck a bit then, but the brakes are still up to the job. The compression brakeing from the tranny downshift when you apply the brakes a great feature. A real aid for crooked rode driving, which we have everywhere in East Tennessee.
