| I didn't have any special tool. If you want to be gentle, wrap some electrical tape around a flat head screwdriver and gently pry it open at the rear edge. Or if you want to be manly about it, you can easily pop it out with your fingers. Put your fingers against the rear edge of the cover (put your nails in the crack if you have nails) and lightly push toward the front of the truck a little and down. The cover pops right off with little effort.
