| Hi everyone i am a master toyota tech for 17 years now and i would just like to put everyones mind at ease if i may. We have not seen or heard anything on this problem that is being circulated at my dealership or in the entire central atlantic region. If a known problem does exist let me assure you toyota will take care of it and then some. I challenge any one out there to show me a car company that treats its customers better, there are none. ive seen toyota give people entire FREE engines on vehicles that have not had oil changes in 40k miles plus, yes believe it. They have put engines in cars for vehicles with 100k plus for free in some cases. If you are a toyota owner they value you as a family member not just a customer. On another site one guy had reported this unusual failure on his early model tundra and this is what came of it. He got a new long block(entire engine )for free, a platinum 7yr 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty with no deductible, one month,s payment applied to his loan, and 150$ gift card to use on whatever he wanted. Now someone please tell me what else they could do for the guy. This problem is very miniscule as far as numbers of trucks go that they do not want to call it a recall. Widespred false panic for a possible 100 vehicles NOT i agree with their approach. The big 3 are looking for any problem info they can leak out to try to tarnish the image of what is by far tha best 1/2 ton pickup on the market today. So just enjoy your trucks out there and let toyota take care of the rest. By the way did i mention what a kickass ride this truck is lol. |
