| Run Premium Gas Before SC Install!! I get a call from the Service Manager a few minutes ago. This is the first SC install that they'll be doing on the Tundra. He says when he calls Toyota to ask questions about the install, Toyota tells him to inform customers that they have to have premium fuel running through the engine preceeding the installation. If not, then not only is the supercharger warranty voided, so is any remaining powertrain warranty pertaining to the engine.
When I used to put Whipples on my Chevys, I only had to worry about having premium in it immediately after installation.
The Service Manager informed me to run the current tank empty and make sure premium is put in the day before I drop the truck off.
Please keep this in mind and let anyone else know, who might be adding the TRD supercharger. |
