I decided to change the oil on my 2007 4.7 L but when I went to remove the filter I found that it did not turn. I tried the trick of pounding a screw driver into to filter but it still won't budge. I'm concerned that the filter may have some kind of locking mechanism. Since I so foolishly (stupidly!) put a hole in the filter I can't just fill up the crankcase and drive it to work tomorrow. Am I just not applying enough force or is there truly some locking mechanism?
