Remote Starter (Plug & Play)

Does anyone know if there has been a remote started created for an 08 4.7L V8 that is a direct plug and play? I don't want to go cutting anything up and curious if anyone has done an install or knows of someone who has. Thanks!

The only one that would be plug and play would be the one that Toyota sells. I don't know if it is plug and play or not, but it's the only one that comes to mind that would be.

Remote Starter at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC

After reading the instructions from the Sparks website, it appears it is plug and play, but it looks like a pretty good job to get it in. Also be aware that people have reported that the range on the OEM unit is only about 80 to 100 feet or whatever the range is on your stock key fob.

Range

DO NOT BUY THE TOYOTA REMOTE START. This thing is a waste of money. Toyota has replaced the brain of mine once but the range is still pathetic. Many mornings i have to hold it right next to the window and stand on my head to start my truck, this is about 20' from the truck!!!

Also once you start the thing (which youdo by pressing the lock button twice, then holding down lock) you are locked out. If you unlock or open the door in any way the engine shuts off again. So you have to start the engine again.

I tried to take this thing back but Toyota said the y "have to fix it"
