Programming XK05 Module Vehicle Programming- Connect the module and turn key to ignition position. LED will come ON solid; start vehicle.
- LED turns off. Module is now programmed.
- If the LED does not turn off, check all wiring and reset kit. Repeat steps 1 & 2
XK05 Module Reset- Press and hold button and plug in module. LED comes on. When LED goes off, release button.
Key FOB Programming- Press and hold the FUNCTION button for 10 seconds until remote emits one long beep and the amber transmit LED lights up solid.
- Press and hold REMOTE START button until the remote beeps three times and the amber transmit LED lights up.
- Open car door. (Green H1/8 wire or Violet H1/6 must be connected).
- Turn ignition key ON. (Heavy gauge Pink wire must be connected).
- Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet switch once.
- Press valet switch and hold. LED flashes once and siren chirps once.
- While still holding valet switch, press the LOCK button of the remote. Siren chirps once to confirm.
- Release valet switch. Turn ignition key OFF.
Automatic Transmission Mode Programming- NOTE: The “Automatic” option will need to be programmed ON to work with automatic transmissions, to do this follow the steps below. The default option “Manual” is a safety precaution that forces the installer to enable the Manual Transmission Mode (MTM) routine or program the unit to the “Automatic” option before the remote start can be activated for the first time.
- Open car door.
- Cycle ignition key ON then OFF. Do the next step within 10 seconds.
- Press and hold valet switch until LED flashes 3 times (siren chirps 3 times), then release.
- Press and release valet switch once then press and hold. Siren chirps once.
- While still holding the valet switch, press UNLOCK button of transmitter. Siren chirps 2 times.
- Release valet switch. Cycle ignition key ON then OFF.
These procedures are also outlined in the Responder LE Quick Programming Guide. BITWRITER SETTINGS- Now complete programming via the Bitwriter, here are the settings.
