I rarely ever use it. It still works. I never sealed any of the plugs and never put anything over it.

The driver's side has the gas shock for the tailgate so it might not have room for what you plan to put in there. Course it might have plenty of room. Ignore the hose and filter on the left of the picture, I put those in there.
