| I have a list of fill ups and mileage in the truck. I'll pull it out and tally it up later.

| Right from my childhood ages, my Dad has always drilled into my head that "you get what you pay for". I've always opted for the higher cost items, with the menatility that I'm getting a better product. (Most times that'll probably just get me screwed, but I still find myself migrating to the high-end items.) So, with that in mind, if you had not to worry about cost, what CAI would you chose? I see APE and other brands going for well over $300. Are they worth that? (Personally, I like the shine of the Volant. It'll look great with polished headers and hopefully a polished supercharger in the coming months!) Thoughts on cost and what you get for paying extra? |

| The Volant is the expensive quality intake, they are just lowering the price. I wouldn't have chosen a different CAI, regardless of price. |

| I called 4wheelonline and they first said they could not get it. They put me on hold for a while and checked on it. They could get it, but said the price was $450. I told them someone had purchased it for $279 from them and the guy put me on hold. Then came back and said the price is $450. Their Volant sale is only for stuff on listed on their web site and the Volant for the new Tundra is not listed.

| That sucks Tony. Kinda odd that they said they could not get it since they ship directly from Volant to the customer. |

| Toxarch I noticed that your TB clamp was caught on the TB intake stop which wont give you a good seal right there at the hot engine. Also the extention bolt and hex nut that came with the cai wasnt used on my install the way you did yours.Instead I screwed the extention bolt until it was tight through the intake hole and twisted the whole housing with a friend until it coverd the fender hole then screwed down the TB clamps and put the long hex nut on the extention bolt in the intake box until it was snug and ended up with one bolt not used.I didnt have to extend the engine cover stand off at all.I know my way might not be the right way but everthing is lined up and tight. You did a great job of showing how you did yours and it helped me alot with the tips you gave. All I can say is rock on. |

| The pictures of the TB adapter are all with it loose. I set all the rest and then tightened those clamps down last. I didn't notice any direct pictures of it tightened down in my first post. The clamp screws aren't hitting that I know of but I'll look to be sure. I've been planning to try to rotate the whole thing to get it to fit a little better. I went for a snug fit against the fender rather than directly lining up with the hole. I'll mess with it later. |
