Your going to have to be patient on this one, With a brand new engine it's going to be a while before anyone comes out with a chip/programmer for the 5.7.

Heck the Titan has been out since 2004 and they finally just got a programmer out for it.

When they finally do come out with one I'll be that guy in line next to you buying one....lol!

Only reason I want a chip right now is to remove that damn speed limiter. It's sucks when your playing catch with a GT on the interstate and you trucks cuts off at 115...

yeah AMEN! I HATED that i smoked a benz s600 and at 115...BAM....no more fun...thats BULLSxxxt! I mean at least my M3 came with a 155 speed limiter...honestly my M3 is built and i have never had over maybe 130...so its not that big of a deal, but 115 is silly!

frustrating, cause i know how to bypass/mod allthe new bikes with thier "limiters" (lol!) but not a truck/car guy...so someone come up with a bypass on it!

I'm sure URD will come up with something for that. In the meantime race up to 115mph and then cut them off

Hey JT, let me ask ya...im taking my tundra to the strip this friday...ive done alot of drag racing (bikes and my s/c nsx and s/c m3) so not new..what do you think..your truck is doing 14.66 @93 but its 4x4 and DC.

I think i might be able to hit a 13.99 with a GOOD launch in mine..its a reg cab, 2wd. no power seats and such..pretty light..i'd guess almost 1,000lbs lighter than yours???, and lowered (silly sounding but it helps) i plan on running two sand bags over rear wheels (old trick i did with my lightnings) and in portland we have GREAT air and track at sea level..should be cool crisp 52-55degs friday night.....maybe a dream..lets see...

edit: btw i drove a racers of mine (who bought after he saw mine) tundra that is exactly like yours, DC, 4wd and my RC 2wd is MUCH faster....so maybe breakin the 13's is possible

I don't think it's out of the question with the right weather conditions. I tried sevral different ways when I ran, There's a thread in the racers forum discussing the VSC & Traction control.
Here's the thread...........

hmm..thanks. i know if i put the trac off (hold for 3secs) and just on a normal say street stomp on it from a dead stop i can smoke them thru 2nd gear...maybe 20psi, tracks sticky launch pad, and a 2bags over rear wheels will help..hmmm...then again i got some left over VP MR-9 fuel we use in our race bikes....ROFL (its only 86motor octane..and cost @$28/gal) jk...its not for a big combution chamber/bore like the tundra...oh yeah and the feds dont like leaded gas on the roads..huh..ha.

Ill let ya know. thanks

I look forward to seeing what you run, I'll be taking my RC to the strip on the 24th. I'm guessing very low 14s for mine. Like you say, maybe high 13s with a good launch and weather. Don't forget to bring a video camera with you!!!
