this is my second truck with Volant system and have yet to have any issues with them. On my previes truck i was even able to use the same volant system with Kenny Bell Charger and it worked great.

I bought a True Flow XDI cold air intake and the next day the check engine and other warnig lights came on as well. Dealer said it was a bad MAF sensor, so they replaced it. Next day, same thing, more warning lights. Went back to original intake. I wasn't able to get the code number.

You know they sell OBII readers at local auto parts stores. I think I got mine for 80 bucks, pretty nifty piece of equipment. I highly recommend everybody pick one up because the reader combined with the wealth of knowledge contained on the internet you can self diagnose any problem. Then you can determine if you want the dealer to fix it or you want to take care of it on your own since it may be linked to your aftermarket parts. Gives you the knowledge without blindly going to the dealer with an issue and then he marks up your car's "permanent record".

You the best part about OBDII readers is they work on any car manufactured after 1994 or somewhere around that time.

Highly recommend getting one.

I ordered a Volant today and the best price I could get with the power core filter was 359.95 shipped. Did not find that price on Ebay either. Got it from New Level Motorsports. I just did not find a lower price. Hope I am not sorry for buying it! I already have a straight through RV muffler on it. 2X2.5in 1X3 out. Not too loud but fair amount of drone between 1.5 and 2k rpm. Magnaflow muffler. I hear that they are bad about drone. Very quiet otherwise. My reg cab has a shorter tailpipe than the 4 door models and I wonder if tailpipe length has anything to do with the rpm that the drone occurs at or how deep it is. On a pipe organ the longer the pipe the lower the note.
