Volant CAI is sweet, but just cost me $130.00 @ the Toyota dealer.
I have 3,700 miles on my 08. I was driving home and 4 warning lights came on. I brought it into the dealer and had to pay $130.00 for a diagnostic test. Something happened and set off the mass air flow sensor. They said because that thing was aftermarket, it wasnt Toyota's fault that something tripped it. I left mad, and will never return for service at that Bloomington MN dealer. The got me for the same thing on my old GMC Sierra. I will bring any service issues to the dealer I bought it at, and hope for good faith warranty for any future issues.

I heard about intakes causing problems like that. I have had one on most of my cars and never had an issue. I know the filters with oil can gum up the MAF, but Volant does not use oil.

Dealers will tell you aftermarket items void warranties but it is on them to prove the item caused the fault. They probably wont want to invest the time or money to fight it, they just like bullying people because people usually don't know they are protected.
