I've always heard Toyota ECUs are hard to modify or maybe no one has really tried because the demand was not there before. Hopefully with the new Tundra we'll see better results. No doubt there are several more ponies to get out of this bad boy!

So how can we make this happen, what do we need to crack Tundra ECUs open? Does anybody have and ideas where to start, I believe some serious gains can be had by doing this!

Sounds like it may be time to contact Chung @ Uprev and let him know there is an interest in this.

I sent them a Email to see if there any plans I doing a program for the Tundra.

They deal primarily with Nissan so we'll see what their response is.

Here's the link in case someone else wants to email them............Welcome to UpRev - Engine Management Solutions

There is also Cobb and Hypertech. The more we ask for things the more likely they are to start working on it. Dont expect anything overnight... It took most of the companies 3 years to crack Nissan's codes!

i have also been wondering this as i come from the import tuner side of things. i have always had my ecu's tuned for my mods and it make a world of diffrence to have things properly tuned. i am thinking of calling up Power Enterprise as they make a little thing call the Camcon. it is used to control the VVTi/VVTLi and it also is a a/f controller. i think a stock truck with out i/e using the camcon to control things would make a huge improvement then just i/e without the camcon. the ecu's of all vehicles in the US all have teribble a/f ratios that is why a little ecu tuning always help. the VVTi on a 5.7L with a little bit of tuning =
