What kind of performance and mileage benefits can I expect from the factory TRD cold air intake system? Does the intake system need to be matched with the dual exhaust system to really work?

Based on the performance of the Volant, I would expect that you would see possibly a little improvement in mileage, but a little more in "seat-of-the-pants" performance.

I've had the truck 11.5 weeks and just rolled over 10000 miles, that's a lot of gas, I'm just looking for an edge to increase the mpg's.

Only way I know to make your gas mileage significantly better is to have a very light foot and run the roads at 60-65 mph.... and that, my friend is no fun when you're driving the "beast," lol!

You got that right.........Yesterday, before I left Ohio, I reset my trip monitor on the GPS, when I got home (360 miles later) I checked the usual stuff, like miles traveled ,average speed etc, I noticed that the max speed was 91.8. I don't remember going that fast.....these truly are fantastic machines.
