Look at the back of the regulator's package. and make sure it coordinates with what I've got in my picture....
If you got the same P/N and from RadioShack, then most likely it's the same... But just check... there are three prongs on the bottom side...one it power...one is ground...and the other is for the adjustment...
I think I read that Rage actually initially had his hooked up straight to 12v, and that it did fine for the short time he had it like that... But the picture was garbled... and when he finally cut the power back, it got alot clearer... So if you're using a 200 ohm versus 220, I really don't see it being harmful... I believe that you just want to stay below 7v at the end of the regulator... I'm not intelligent enough to figure out the math, but try it, and measure it before hooking it all up...
