The Tundra has a huge rear differential for a 1/2 ton. The differential and the rear axle are definitely not the weak points.



Top right is the new Tundra differential, bottom right is the old Tundra differential.

The picture is from the following link. They do a good write-up on the Tundra's rear end compared to others. They say it's comparable to a Dana 70 or a GM Corporate 14 bolt.
