OK all done...it turns out that the red wire is power, the pink with black stripe is the ground and the black is the door open sensor. I was able to tap into the red and pink. I had to get a power port socket from Radio Shack since the Garmin Nuvi power cord was not a simple two wire set up but has the MSN Traffic sensor in the plug. All works fine and looks good!
