New Tundra Owner

New Tundra owner here from west Texas, and new to this forum. I also own a 1980 Toyota RN47 4X4 that just won't die. I will probably sell it now and hope the Tundra is just half as tough and reliable. I also drive a Prius and I'm a member over at PriusChat.com.

I just got my CrewMax last week when the dealer offered to double the $3000. Toyota rebate. After a little more negotiation on my trade-in, I got a good deal and a nice pickup. I have set of Truckchamp 304 stainless 3" tubular steps on the way that I got off Ebay for $119.00, and I'll probably put a retrax bed cover on it when I get enough "mad money" saved.

I'm proud own a pickup made in Texas by Texans with more parts made in the USA than a Chevrolet. The fact that Consumer Reports doesn't endorse the Tundra just puts icing on the cake, because I've always found CR's automotive ratings to be biased and unreliable.

................looking forward to participation in this forum.
