| Tire Pressure Sensor Leak Hello All,I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra regular cab 4x2. I checked the tire pressure the other day on the truck and drove the truck to work and when I left I found one of my tires flat. Needless to say, I discovered that the tire had a slow leak from the valve stem probably caused by checking it with a gage or filling it from the air chuck. Eventually the valve seated and no longer leaked. The question(s). Can the valve stem be repaired/replaced without removing the tire from the wheel? Is this common with this type of system? In the old days you could remove the valve stem. Can these be removed and perhaps tightened? I appreciate any info on this as I am monitoring my dash pressure indicator and hoping it stays off. I also understand that this light can come on if the spare is low as well. Thanks ! |
