Cool site! I've got an '07 longbed 4x4 bought new the first week they came out... love the truck.

I've used it to tow my 22' travel trailer as far north as Wa. state and as far south as Cabo San Lucas. The trucks been up and down trails and roads both in Mex and in Ca., Or. and Wa. I mostly use the 4x4 on softsand and beaches... by the way, these things are GREAT on sand. This truck can do it all.

Heres the short story on why I picked it up. It replaced my '03 Ford Super Duty Diesel Crew Cab 4x4. The F250 was, basically, starting to fall apart. I had to replace the starter (expensive on a diesel), the whole front end was so loosey/goosey that I had to have it realigned all the time- if you look down for a couple of seconds, you'd be drifting across the lane.

After watching one buddy blow the tranny in his '05 diesel F250 trying to get his truck unstuck from the sand (down in Cabo- you should hear his story about getting a replacement trans put in all the way down there)- and rescuing a buddy whose '03 needed a new cam position sensor (using the CPS that I carried around in the glove box of my forty thousand dollar truck and instructions I downloaded off the internet!) I figured I better get out while the gettin' was good.

Lucky for me, I sold it before diesel spiked a couple years ago and did pretty good on the sale. I don't miss that truck, but, honestly- I did like the interior of that Ford much better than the new Tundra.

I've had this one for almost three years now and have had zero problems with it. Well, almost zero. The radio/cd changer acts up every now and then and will eject all of my cds and the screen shows unintelligible symbols on it- I thump it a couple of times and it works again.

Just put on four Bilsteins- adjustables in the front (raised the front up about two and half inches... now the thing doesn't look like a silver Ranchero anymore) and some new BFG 285/65. The truck looks great.

I don't know about you guys but my tires rub when I turn it to full lock left or right (which is funny because I could've swore folks were saying they got zero rub from the same tires....) I was going to get 305s but now I'm glad I picked these up instead- I don't like to get too far away from stock and I'm not looking forward to cutting or bending parts out of the way.

Looking now to install firestone airbags in back to keep it level when I'm towing the trailer (even though I use weight distributing bars, I often load the bed with tons of gear)- and may put a shell on it in the near future.

Anyways, stoked to be on the forum and look forward to learning a lot more about my truck from you guys.

Thanks!
