Oil Price Updates On the Home page

I don't know about anyone else but the first thing I wonder when I get up is how much was oil going for today. If you'll go to the homepage and look on the right side below the weather you can see what the price of oil currently is.

Thumbs up Thanks squid...

Another handy addition to the site.

Makes it very easy to check and also have a look at the recent history/trend.

Appreciate that thought.

I saw that and have been checking it now and then. I like it.

Last week on the news they talked about crude oil going down and a gas surplus since people have cut back on use and they are producing more. They said gas prices might drop a few cents this week. How come gas prices shoot up right away when crude goes up, but then only drops s couple of cents when it goes down? They said it might stay up a little since gas station owners are trying to recoup their losses from the quick rise and competing gas prices. But since they already bought the gasoline in their tanks and they raised the prices, then they should have been making mad profit until the next gas shipment arrives.

Because of speculators influencing the market.

Just a bit of food for thought.....the majority of the price increases in the US are due to the ???? poor foreign exchange rate of the dollar relative to other currencies.

Example:
4 years ago a 55 gallon drum of crude was approximately $78 and 30 Euros. Today, that same drum is 36 Euros, and a staggering $140 a barrel.

The oil companies are making money, but they are not the primary driving force behind the increases in our fuel costs.

Just got back to Texas from 10 days in Colorado. Up there it was running $4ish per gallon. Most I paid was $4.41. Kind of makes $3.89 seem good and your $3.69 even better!
