Increase Fuel Mileage

Yes, If you keep filling it up to the brim, you will replace the charcoal cannister. Yes, I experienced the same gas savings filling it up to the brim also. Driving from San Diego to Los Angeles. The fuel gauge didn't move away from full until I go to Santa Ana, which is 74.3 miles away. While I was in Huntsville, AL my charcoal cannister was replaced under factory warranty. It cost $699.00. Of course I learned a lesson...don't fill it up to the brim, which is 26.7 gallons. Yes the truck can drive 426 miles to a tank only if you brim it up. I average 380 miles to a tank in normal fill-ups. That's driving 65 - 85 mph.

Ok guys. If I don't top it off how can I ever get a good fuel economy calculation? Stopping when the pump automatically shuts off can be premature and give a false sense of the tank being full. I have worked in a auto repair garage for 35 years and the mechanics have never said anything about having to replace the carbon canister on any car. I don't totally buy this.

I let it click twice when I fill it. Being a little off in the number of gallons is not bad if you are filling 20 gallons. And if you average it over 5 tanks, then being slightly off is nothing.

I need to know where I can purchase this fuel thats getting high milage. 3in lift and 35s makes you stop for fuel every turn of the corner. The price I pay to be happy.

I am in Waco and if I try to avoid stoplights and drive like my wife wants me to I am now getting about 17 in town. My trip to work is about 4 miles each way with 1 stoplight and speed limit of 50. I drive about 250 miles a week in town on about 14 to 15 gallons of fuel. My 381hp Tundra gets way better mileage than my wifes 96 Cougar 210hp 4.7 V8. Her car only has 29k miles on it too so it is not worn out! We bought it new! If it gets replaced it may be a Camry V6.

Anyone Ever Done A Cost Analysis Whether Or Not It's Feasible To Run Premium Gas, 92/93 Octane . Does The Added Cost Give Better Mileage With The 5.7l ????????

I think Rarjar posted a comment on trying every configuration of gas, and he found little to no benefit.
