| I tried hacking into the stock OEM backup video harness to have it displayed on my Eclipse AVN5510 screen (like that little stock monitor up on top). I went for the a-pillar harness (see pic below) from Toxarch. The connector closest to you with the back tape all wrapped up. Anyways, in this connector, the RED wire is + video (center on RCA cable) and the grey is - video (outter on RCA cable). The problem is there are TWO grey wires in this connector. I tapped into the grey wire next to the RED wire on the connector. No go..no video when I do this..this I powered the reverse wire on the Eclipse with 12v...On the Eclipse self diag screen, It said Reverse "ON" when its reverse wire is connected to 12v (so it's working)..but it doesn't flipped to the "video" screen. I'm not sure now if i tapped into the wrong grey wire or the darn Eclipse AVN5510 unit doesn't work?? arghhhh...please help. here is the pic of the connect I tapped into from Torxarch |

| Tox mentioned that the Pioneer has a setting in options that you have to turn the rear camera on (which I also had to do with my AVIC). Is it possible you have similar options setting in the Elipse? BTW, Tox has one pic in this thread where he has arrows pointing to the red and grey wires you're suppose to tap into. |

| Okay, I got it figure out. Apparently I hooked the video "in" to VTR (external video input). I need a special Eclipse adapter to be used for backup camera otherwise it won't autoswitch. This eclipse is more pain than I thought..everything is separate... anyways, if I flipped to VTR input then I see the video of the rear camera displaying...so everything is working. Only thing is the camera quality is bad...oh well... thanks everyone for your help. the instruction is right on |

| Glad you got it figured out.
