Okay, so apparently if you have Eclipse HU you'll also need this little adapter to have it working.

Eclipse Back Up Camera Input Harness

it's like $30 for a simple connector. Anyone knows where I can sort one for cheaper?

Googling it I didn't find anything cheaper than the one you found, and the one I found on eBay is even higher. The $30 one might be your best bet.

Hello all, I've read and re-read this post and I still cant figure out if everyone already had the stock camera. There's a pioneer camera install but has anyone installed the oem camera when they didn't have one before? I have an '07 TRD SC with no camera. Thanks for the help if this was an ID10T question but I can't find info on this.

I wrote the install and I did not have the OEM camera. I bought that online from another dealer and then installed it in my tailgate. The camera comes with a new tailgate handle to fit the camera.

Rarjar,
I saw that you were trying to use the OEM Mic for your bluetooth, did that work ok? Good sound quality etc? and did you figure out if you needed to use pin 7 afterall?

Qoute:
"OK Tox, I found the connectors for the OEM microphone. They are on the K9 connector... Pin 1=MIC(-), Pin 2=MIC(+), and Pin 7=MCVD. What the heck is MCVD? I assume I only need to use Pins # 1 & 2 and can ignore Pin 7?"

No I didn't scallywhoper.... didn't even try it, guess I just ran out of energy to pull everything out and redo the connections. If was easier to simply move the Pioneer mic to the driver's side upper corner of the windshield using the clip that came with the Pioneer mic. Maybe one of these days when I have to pull the HU for some other reason, I might give the OEM mic another try.

Does anyone know if you can use the OEM "speak/command" button on the streeing wheel with the Kenwood 9140 instead of installing the button that comes with it?

I suspect it may depend on which steering wheel controls interface unit you use. I am using the Scosche hard wired kit and as I recall, it did not have a programmable interface for the speak/command button.

Yeah PAC says its not an option with their devices, i figure with the proper wiring diagrams it could be done, just tie that button into where the aftermarket speak/command button hooks up into the stereo. Might get to technical for me though.
