| Radio being replaced Brought my truck in for service because of the intermitten volumne controle and the radio shutting off. They are going to replace the radio and I ask why it is happening and service said they don't know other than it is a problem and Toyota is not releasing the "WHY". Seems weird Toyota would not tell the dealer even to let there techs. know whats going on. |

| I read somewhere (this forum or another) that it is a bad ground in the radio. Just speculation, of course. However, I am having the same problem. The radio shuts down and starts up on its own up to 10 times a minute. (Live on a dirt road) This sounds consitient with a bad ground situation. I contacted the dealer and my new radio is on backorder with no known delivery date. I am hoping someone has a homegrown fix so I can listen to some tunes while I wait without having to use the ol' "calibrated tap" to get it going all the time. |
