Radio issues

Hey everyone.

Just had my stock radio replaced by the dealership in my '07 Tundra due to the known issues with it turning on and off on its own.

The new one (still stock) works great, however, when I turn the vehicle off then on, the radio defaults to the off setting. This gets plenty annoying when I am in and out of the vehicle frequently during the day.

Is there a way to change this setting, or do I have to take it to the dealership?

Thanks for the help!

Cheers!

Not sure which model radio you have but mine (JBL Premium) does not do that.

How many different model radio head units do they have for the 2007-2009 Tundras?

Anyone?

I think someone else had this issue when their radio was replaced. There is a setting that can be changed. I tried searching this site and can not find it. It might be on line someplace. Let me see if I can find it.

This thread is right on time because my radio recently started doing this. Just made a appt. with the dealer for next week. I'm sure the radio will act normally when I get there LOL!

I had mine "fixed", but it still does odd things occasionally. I have decided to just ignore it until I find a decent aftermarket option with bluetooth and iphone compatibility.

My 2 cents, get a double din DVD/Nav/Sat radio/Radio LCD head unit.... it's a great fix-all, lol!

I'm on my second radio, and no problems with this one, but its only been 3k since it was installed. I've been thinking of replacing it with a non oem, but wanted to get one that works before I pull it, so I can sell it later to someone who figures out there is a problem after the warranty is up.
