| Hello, I used my AUX port to try to play my MP3 player from my phone which I was successfully doing before with my old Tacoma through the cassette player using a cassette adapter. Anyway, I noticed very poor sound quality coming out of the speakers of my Tundra. Actually it was more low sound than anything else. I had to crank the volume to the MAX to get a decent sound out of the speakers. The music wasn't choppy or distorted just very low. I just bought a high quality "Monster cable" 3ft. as well. Are people experiencing a low sound level using the AUX port with their MP3 players? Your help or feedback would greatly be appreciated!

| When I had the OEM head unit, I had the same problem.

| Really? wow! I wonder if that's something that Toyota can repair or upgrade? Anyone else have this problem? |

| I am using the AUX port and I have a little San Disk Fuze. It needs to be at max volume to even be able to enjoy whats playing. and the truck stereo needs to be somewhat loud too! I think that this little mp3 player isnt all that great for output. I do have an ipod, I will go outside and check that to see if its better than the San Disk.

| Mine was the SanDisk e250. I love the MP3 player because the battery charge lasts for 21 or more hours. But I always had to turn it all the way up and the radio up pretty high as well. I think one person (might be different forum) put in an inline volume booster to help with the volume. |

I think the way the AUX is wired it seems like it's barely going through the head units amplifier. Maybe Toyota upgraded the AUX wiring for 2008 models? |

| I had the same problem and it resulted in my very first mod. A Pioneer AVIC F90BT. However, I wouldn't recommend any touchscreen head unit unless you have steering wheel controls for it. |

| I had the same problem with my 08 and my ipod. I switched to a monster FM tuner type. Works great. I always hated the wire sticking out and getting caught up. ![]() It plugs in under the middle seat. Out of sight, nice and neat. |
