| Squid is there some where in there where it lists any trouble codes? As per an earlier post when my Ipod is connected I keep getting an ERROR 5 pop up on start-up of the truck. I then have to unplug the USB cable replug it and hit AUX again. Don't know if this is a glitch or file problem on my Ipod or what.

| Arctic, I don't have my truck manual with me but I remember seeing troubleshooting code in there about ipod issues. I too had an error when i tried to scroll thru my song/ artist lists |
| ||||
| I am leaning more and more now to file format as sometime it does this and sometimes not. I have noticed that when no error code comes up and the Ipod starts normally, it is usualy always on the same song. I will still try the diagnostic just to see. Did you get the code list as well Squid, if not let me know I can post. |
| ||||
| Please do, we can put it in the diagnostic thread. If you can't edit your post just post it and I'll edit your first post with the codes for continuity sake. Thanks! |

| The USB interface is a feature that's tied into the head unit, it can't simply be a exchange of the plug. Now changing the whole head unit out and the aux in certainly looks like it will fit (why not, similar dash), I don't know about the harnesses though. It seemed like an easy enough feature to implement, since the radio was always designed to decode lossily compressed audio, although intially from optical media only. Now it's just doing the same thing from a different medium. |

| Ok so I asked the service foreman today and apparently you can fit a 2010 radio in a 2009. After evaluating the performance of the 2010 radio's AM tuner, I will decide whether or not to go ahead with the upgrade, which is apparently a trade. Apparently it runs around $1000 though. But I haven't been able to find an aftermarket radio so far that actually has a good tuner, that would be even better. |

| I just found out yesterday that my iPhone's iPod automatically marries to the BlueTooth function. All I do is push the AUX button on the radio and the iPod starts playing through the stereo, no wires at all. This is an awesome feature. Steve
