Worklog - Road Rage II look at the second page of this thread. or go to Invision Home Page - Hosting, WAN, LAN, Web Application Development, IT Infrastructure, Search Engine Optimization, Invision i like them and more importantly, my son loves them and he rules the roost even at age 3. Results from last night, Looks like the local toyota did a hell of a job installing this against the elements (even being inside). I am still going to move over headsets but ran into a snag last night, The connections from the monitors were WELL protected from the elements (dont know why they did this, but i still applaude them for the effort). The connecters from the headset to the wiring harness for the controller box was not just connected and wrapped with electrical tape. No, it was incased in a dilectric encased small enclosure and then wrapped in electrical tape. I didn't have anything at the house to clean the nasty snot, so i am getting some solvent from work today we use when splicing armored fiber to get it clean to get the dilectric off the connectors before i move them. That stuff works great but it is messy as hell and gets on everything. Also have another 'small' project i will complete at the same time of using a Zune Home dock station to mount it into my large cupholder and hide the AUX connector behind the access panel. I hate loose wires. I will post pics of both when i am doing them..........BTW, if you want to use the aux port while charging your mp3 player, get this at Crutchfield, it is amazing at killing the ground loop buzz. I installed it and even at FULL volume with no music playing, there is absolutely NO BUZZ........ PAC SNI-1/3.5 Noise Filter Helps eliminate ground loop noise from your portable music player! (3.5mm plugs) at Crutchfield.com thanks for the all the help so far, Jeff

controller looks to be Rev2, but the monitors still have the tv tuner fuction. I think i have to get the rev 3 controller to tap into that. Dude, i don't know if you have messed with dilectric before, but that stuff is nastier than my 3yr old with a headcold, gets on everything. fm transmitter looks like it is embedded in the actual unit rather than the control box

The transmitters for the headsets would have to be in the units (infrared) but the interface box also has one that just uses a short length of coax as an antenna. Not sure what you are referring to as "dilectric" but I'll take your word for it

dilectric is a clear substance that looks like silicon caulk except it never hardens and doesn't conduct electricity. not sticky, but rather slippery and impossible to clean without a special chemical to neutralize it.
