It didn't matter what key fob I used. Eventually they will stop working completely and you won't be able to set your alarm. That was my main concern.
Are they made of gold and platinum??? Those prices are ridiculous.

That's what I was wondering. That's what the dealership said it was and the price was. I had an external warranty that was paying all but the deductible. Haven't had a single problem since. They also tried to get me on a broke wheel bearing, $1500. I found a loose weight strip on the rim hitting something and Gerald's fixed it for free. Who knows what's going through their head huh? Money money money!

Mechanics have no clue how to troubleshoot anymore. They want a computer to tell them what to do.

    Similar issue

Resurrecting this thread, I am having similar problems.

There was an intermittent period where my drivers door was the only door that would lock and unlock with the fob and door switch, and it was like that for a few hours, and then they all started working, and this happened two or three times before the only one that locks and unlocks is the drivers door.

Now, I can manually unlock all the other three, and they will lock with the fob and switch, but they will not unlock. I read earlier in this thread about two relays, one for the drivers door, and one for the other three. Is it possible that the other relay is stuck to where it won't unlock the other three doors? I have also replaced the battery in the fob. The dealership of course wouldn't tell me about the location of the relays and highly suggested that it was all three door lock actuators.

Does anyone know the location of the relays, and I could swap them, and see if one is actually faulty? I can hardly see all three work, not work, work again, not work, work again, and then finally not work simultaneously.

Bumping, still having the problem. Twice everything has gone back to normal, but only for about 45 minutes and they have been like that for a while.

I am possibly in the process of selling my Tundra, and would like to get this fixed so that there isn't anything wrong with the Truck except for cosmetics.
