    Electronic door lock problems

    Hey Guys,
I have started having some problems out of my door locks on my '07 Crew Max and hope that someone can shed some light on it. I noticed about a month ago when I hit the unlock button on my key fob that all doors but the drivers door unlocked. I thought it was strange but just a fluke so I just unlocked the door with the key. Today however when I unlocked the doors with the key fob the rear doors did not unlock no matter how many times I hit the button. Then when I opened the drivers door and hit the unlock button on the inside of the door it still did not unlock the rear doors. It sounds like there is a short somewhere in the wiring but wanted to hear yalls opinions and hopefully an easy way to fix this as my truck is no longer under warranty.
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Tuck

Well today the key fob (when it worked) would unlock and lock all doors except for the passenger rear door. I have also noticed that when I hit lock on the key fob my lights no longer blink as they always have. Rear passenger lock also did not work when I tried to use the lock/unlock button on the inside of the drivers door. Guys, I am at a loss. Any and all help appreciated.

    Question

Do you have more than one key fob? If so, does the other one operate in the same fashion?

Wouldn't explain the interior lock/unlock button but, the key fob may need a new battery?

Door locks usually go through a relay. One for driver's door and one for rest of doors. Maybe a bad relay causing the problem. Could be a short. Maybe rodents chewing wires.
Any questions about truck mods I have done need to be asked in the forums. Don't send me a private message about mods cause I probably won't answer that PM unless there is money involved.

Speeking of rodents my dealership guy said that they are getting more and more Toyota's coming in for repairs due to rats, and squirrels eating the wiring under the hood,,,, Wounder WHY?????

Havent even thought about the possibility of rodents. I do have a very large squirrel problem due to the neighbor feeding them all the time. WIll have to take a look and see if I can see anything that has been chewed.

I had the exact same problem. It was actuators for the door locks. The front was $1500 and the rear was $900. I had the extended warranty so luckily all I had to pay was $100. It didn't matter what key fob I used. Eventually they will stop working completely and you won't be able to set your alarm. That was my main concern.

Not what I was hoping to hear. Right now I have just been dealing with it and locking/unlocking the doors by hand....which is no easy task to reach the back doors. I will have to find some time to dig more into the problem when the weather warms up. Sure am hoping it is not anything as serious as yours as I dont have any warranty.
