I looked around on ebay and I found one that looks the same as the one I used. It's the same brand as mine and looks the same. Be aware, I did NOT use this seller, I am NOT in any way affliated with him, and I make no guarantee that these actuators are the same 1" actuators that I used. All I now, it that that are Harada 2 wire actuators and that is what I used. Here is the ebay listing and it shows he has 10 available: eBay Motors: Harada DLA-01 Power Door Lock Actuator Motor New 2 Wire (item 170151140266 end time Nov-18-07 18:11:56 PST)

Nice. Looks like you used 2 actuators to pull the latch rods on each side and open the tailgate. Good idea. How did you get it to not open until you hit the button 4 times?

A little while ago I had the actuator come off the lock/unlock mechanism on the handle. I thought it might happen. The actuator was originally positioned a little too close and the plastic part that sticks out the bottom was hitting the key lock, causing it to come off. So I decided to correct it so it wouldn't happen again. I removed the bracket and redrilled the holes to better position the actuator. I could have just re-bent the bracket a little, but it wasn't hard to just redrill it. ![]() Then I slid the rubber cover off the actuator to expose the actuator arm. I decided to just use a table grinder to remove the lower part of the plastic. It used to go all the way around the arm. ![]() ![]() And then just slide the rubber cover back on. ![]() Fits a little better now and I don't think it will come off again for a long time. If it does, then I might decide the drill a hole and use a wire to secure it. ![]()

No warranty, remember? I can alter one and bring it next time we meet. Then just swap it out with the one I put in your truck. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to swap them and redrill the mount you have. Most of that time would be opening the tailgate and measuring for the new holes.

Hey all I don't get over here to much but I remembered I posted about my automatic tailgate project, Well I finaly got the write up all done and tossed it onto a quick web page that I am hosting on my home server for now but should work since its probably not that many people that want to do this. I also posted a few other PDF that may interests others here too. Tundra Website: Tundra.zapto.org
