Removing the guage panel????

How do you remove the guage panel. I need to access where the buttons are for the mileage switch and sonar switch is etc. My gaol is to run a test to see if you can put factory sonar on after the fact.

Thanks,

GREAT! As far as I can tell, All the hookups are in place for the rear and front sonar connections. I am going to contact the Toyota dealership and ask how much the sonar buttons and switch is. Hopefully it is reasonably priced. I figure I will plug everything in and see what happens, if nothing works then take back the parts. If it works, then comes the drill for the bumpers.

HAS ANYONE ELSE CONFIRMED IF YOU CAN ADD THIS AND IT WORKS YET????????

Keep us informed. I'd like to add the sonar if its feasable (electronically and economically)

I too am working on getting all the parts and info to add the sonar. I have the plugs under the front and back bumpers and the display of the truck, next to the flashing alarm indicator. My dealership gave the following prices on the items:
Dash switch $100, Sonar ECU $124, Sensors $204 ea (need 2 front, 4 back) and $60 each for front and back bumper wiring harnesses. The sensors are expensive! I will be ordering the switch and ECU next week and then looking for bumper parts on craigslist and ebay to complete the system. I will let you know what I find.

Look for salvage parts too. You are going to need the bumpers with the holes in them as well as the sensors. Maybe you can pick up both from a salvage yard. Possibly all the parts.

If you are ever going to consider changing the head unit, might be better to just get a head unit that accepts a camera and get the tailgate handle camera. Won't cost that much more and it's SOOO much better than the sonar.
