Question Tpms Tsb Su005-07

Does anyone have access to the pdf of this TSB? I'm looking for it so I have ammo when I go to the dealership.

My TPMS light flashes then stays on and I can't reset the damn thing (even after trying the directions in the manual by using the reset button). I've noticed its only on when its around 40* or colder outside. Air pressure in the tires is at 35psi (where I like them).

Since you mention temperature as being a key role in this happening,
try bringing your truck in and have them just re-initialize the tire warning system with the tires cold.
(Leave the truck parked for a couple hours before doing it)
Here is the procedure for them to look up to do this:
TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE (PD005-07)

Here is a quote out of this procedure and may be the source of your pains:

"NOTE:
If there is great difference between
the current temperature of the tire
and wheel (for example: shop
temperature) and expected
temperature (for example: outdoor
temperature), this needs to be
considered when adjusting the
tire pressure.
Adjust the tire pressure when the
tires are cold."

If this doesn't do it, then go back to the TSB theory:
It may not be covered if your truck was built after the fix was put into production
This TSB was Dated: July 19, 2007, so presumably the production change happened sometime before this date.
Thats not to say that there isnt a similar problem that just hasnt been identified.
(Best to take a light touch on this, especially if it is a new problem).

Ask for a printout of the TIS Techstream findings so you can review it together using version 2.00.008.
He will be floored that you asked for it.
If he still can't find it, have him pull up SU005-07 - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY FLASHING OR ON"
It's a 1/2 hr warrantied fix
Here are the trouble codes they should find if it is the identified issue:
C2121
C2122
C2123
C2124
Know anyone with a scangauge that could check it out before taking it in?

Good Luck!

Mine comes on as well when it is colder outside. After the tires warm up a little it goes off. Is this the same thing or a different problem?

Could be...

Cold is relative - up here, its not uncommon for tires, especially on aluminum alloy tires to loose air when the temp drops. Could be related to this also.

Fortunately, I have an April 07 build date, so I should be covered under the TSB. I'll look into it...Thanks for the info.
