I had a VW that had a blue interior, I liked it. Plus the blue dash lights compliment exterior colors of either shade of blue, and the silver/grey. Now you got me thinking...

A great brave job you tackled tox. The blue would be sweet. Were all going to have to buy the beer on this one. Of course, how long did it take?

Thumbs up Looks very, very nice Toxarch....

And another fine job and writeup.

One day I bet all automobile manufacturers will offer what is available in some Ford products today - a rheostat to adjust the dash gauge lights to just about any color you want.

The blue lights look very good Tox.

Looking through the LED website, I think UT-692NB might work for the tiny LED in the buttons. I need a caliper to measure the old ones.

Your color options are Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, White, and Amber. Though, you might not want to get the amber. Ebay had some listings for like a 100 white for $50 that someone might want to split with someone else wanting white.

As for how long it took, I would say around 5 hours from disassembly to reassembly. I was doing other stuff in-between so it might be shorter. It doesn't seem like it took very long thinking back on it, but I guess it must have when thinking about what time I started and when I ended.

If anyone ends up with leftover blue (SLT-773B) LEDs, I'd love to take them off your hands. I need 5 of them for the seatbelt lights. I saw the orange lights over the weekend and decided I really want to change those out.
