| When you return to the truck, are you having to unlock it before you can opening and shutting the door? If so, it sounds to me like the alarm is arming somehow... I know I have locked and armed mine accidentally with the key fob in my pocket and my doing something that pushes the button within range of the truck. If this is the case and even though I haven't ever done this, if you simply unlock the truck with the key without disarming the alarm with the key fob, I believe the alarm will sound. If I'm wrong about that, I'm sure someone will correct me.

| According to the Tundra stuff I have read, using the key in the door will deactivate the alarm. dcrogers, it sounds like your alarm is set to arm itself if left alone for a given amount of time. Most after market alarms have this feature as an option. This is so that if you forget to lock the doors, then the alarm will still set itself and not lock you out of the truck incase your keys are still inside. Not sure about the factory alarm, but I bet it can be set that way. Sounds like that is how yours is set. The dealer should be able to use their computer and change that option for you.

| I think Tox is right. Check the manual for the set up options or look at the pdf here. I think it is page 2-3.

| I have noticed that if I lock the doors, press the unlock button and wait a few minutes, the doors will relock by themselves and the alarm will engage. I have the engine immobilizer, and had the alarm enabled at the dealer after purchase thanks to knowledge from members here. |
