Clock losing time

Have a new SR5 4x4 Crewmax and have noticed after the first 2 wks that the digital clock is loosing time to the tune of 1/2 - 1 hour a day but only intermittantly: Some days no loss.
Digital computer adjacent calculates / reads out fine. No other radio/electrical malfunctions. Battery charges nl and not had to disconnect it.
. Dealer is willing to replace the clock
Wonder if any one else has had this problem?
Is it linked to any other electrical mallady?

Seems odd given everything else is fine. Any bad clock problem out there.

Sure outperforms my Dodge Ram and is getting decent MPG

Not too sure if it will help you, but I've had my truck 5 mos and haven't noticed any issues at all with it.

Welcome, and for info, I haven't seen a time loss with my clock either.

I have read elsewhere of others that have reported the same problem. I didn't read too much into it other than the dealers were replacing the clocks.

Mine works fine so far.

Followup on my clock issue:
Thanks Toxarch for a bit of comfort that I am not the only one

Dealer replaced clock today

BUT guess what happened:
It put the thermometer into a reset mode which is a steady 77-79 degrees ( 95 degrees + here today so back to the dealer)

Dealer called Toyota as they had the same thing happen last week to a Prius!!
Fiddling with fuses etc lead to no help= Toyota says the thermometer will reset it self after being driven for "several hours".
Any one heard that before?

So guys and gals , heads up if you have a clock malfunction and if you replace it (which only took 45 minutes) the outside thermometer may not work for a while.

I'll let you know how long it actually takes to get this back to nl plus to see if clock actually works correctly.

Follow up on my clock loosing time

2nd clock in for 10 days and has started to also lose time.
Seems over night to occur and not so much during the day

No radio presets lost
No other obvious electrical issues

Anyone had 2 clocks not hold time or heard of any similar problems?

appledoc- I have had my Crewmax for about 3 months and every other week or so it will lose 15 to 40 minutes, overnight.
I reset it and it lasts for two weeks.

hesitant to take it in for warranty service
We fixed the clock and now come back and will fix that other thing that went wrong song....so I am gonna wait a few months and see what develops...

Otherwise what a great truck!

Within two weeks of having my truck, same thing, clock replaced and now working like a Swiss!

DON'T BE SO NICE TO DEALER. TELL THEM TO DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

According to my wife (who has a Toyota Land Cruiser) the dealer is suppose to be able to adjust the clock via the on-board computer. Her's was losing time, she took it in, they hooked it up, made an adjustment and it was fixed. Admittedly this is on a 2002 model Land Cruiser, but I would think things have not changed that much in the computer for these vehicles. Might be worth asking the service department about it.
