I don't think a beer is enough. My mistake was to have a free lance installer install this alarm and he hacked my truck wiring. I paid him a fortune and should have done it myself to begin with. I learned a hard lesson, if oyu want it done right you need to do it yourself....

Here is the Automatic Head Light Wiring Diagram. I have circled the auto signal to the Body ECU.

J4 is located here.

Find Pin 21 from this diagram. It will have a green wire going to it.

Cut the green wire into and connect one end to pin 87a and the other to pin 30 of the Automatic Headlight Reset relay. Connect pin 85 to a positive 12 volt source (fused) and pin 86 to H2/2 of the alarm brain.

Here is a illustration that shows what and how a 12 SPDT relay works. It has a nice animation at the bottom of the page so you can play around with different scenarios.

Question

Hello, new here. I had my 5701 installed by a local shop. They used the 566UW bypass module which needs my Valet key inside it. I know...I know... Anyway, I wanted to get in there and at least cut the teeth off the key. I also have the audio sensor that I've been wanting to install. Is it as simple as disconnecting the battery, opening up the bypass module, cutting the key, putting back the chipped part of the key, connecting the audio sensor, then reconnecting the battery? Thank you.

As for the key, yes just cut it off and put the chip part back in the bypass and you are good to go.

As for the audio sensor, I used the programmer to program ZONE 4 SENSOR ICON TYPE to GLASS BREAK. I think it will still work (trigger) without programming this setting but I have not tried.

Awesome, thanks man. I don't really care about the zoning. If my alarm goes, off, I'm running to my truck with bat in hand. . The plug that goes into the 5701 unit has 4 pins. Do I just find a 4-pin input on the unit and plug it in? or does it have to go into a certain one?? Thanks in advance.

You would connect the 506T Audio Sensor here. The picture is not that good because I had to scan it in.
