| All you'd have to do is replace that switch you push with a toggle or rocker switch and then you could turn it on off at will.

| When I first got my truck, the VSC was going off all the time, especially going down hill around curves with washboards and potholes. I thought, wow, the VSC sure is touchy, as I didn't think the truck was in any way sliding or going out of control. Anyway, ever since I increased the tire pressure to 38-40lbs, I haven't had the VSC go off. It doesn't make much sense to me, if seems that if the tires are harder they would be more apt to hop or slide thus engaging VSC. But, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

| You really think that would be a simple toggle? I would guess that switch is just a simple push contact, and the computer is actually interpreting what the user is selecting. If it was toggled off, the computer would interpret that as the hold-down to disengage the TC and the VSC... i don't think it's that simple.

| The switch is to the left of the steering wheel and is a momentary contact switch. I'm not sure toggle switches would work but it might be worth a try.

| Well I shall look at the wiring diagrams and see. So it sounds like from your explanations that you believe that you're just sending a signal probably to the ECU to disengage the Traction control and then the ECU does this for a predetermined amount of time, correct? Quote:

| You can push the button once to get the ALSD on (or whatever it is) or you can stop the truck and hold it down for 3 seconds to turn the VSD off. The traction control will stay off until you press the button again or you turn off the ignition. I wonder if there is a way to wire in something to make the wire contact for three seconds after the key is inserted. Something like a 4 second relay. When the key is inserted and turned, it would activate the relay and make contact for 4 seconds and that would turn off the traction control. I don't know if such a thing exists. |

| TR-51626-05 TR-5 Series Non-Programmable Time Delay Relays from Macromatic You will need a base for this timer. Its not pretty, but it is adjustable. |
