VSC flashing, check engine, lost acceleration

Driving to work this morning my VSC light started flashing, check engine light came on, along with traction control. I lost most of my acceleration as well. I was able to accelerate to about 40 mph, at 3500 rpm but it would not go any faster. Any ideas?

    It is a 2007 DC 5.7L

Well it sounds like limp mode, except the rpm's seem high for limp mode.

I would put a code reader on it. Your local auto parts store will do it for free

Sounds like the old Air Injection pump emissions problem Drob. See post #21 of this thread for more info: http://www.toyotatundraforum.com/sha...-lights-3.html

I try no to scare people with that. That's why I just suggest getting the code pulled.

Well I reset the ecu yesterday & it worked fine all day. Now I headed to work this morning & it did the same thing. Looks like I'm going to have to take it to the dealership.

Just to update you guys, I took my truck to the dealership Friday & they kept it over the weekend so they could read the code Monday morning after a cold start. They put me in a loaner car & called me yesterday to let me know they had confirmed it was the air injection pump that had the warranty extended to 100k miles. They ordered the part & are covering everything, so it looks like again Toyota is really stepping up & doing the right thing here.

Now to see if they will do something about the dull spots on my white paint.

Dang, I actually got one right for a change, lol!

Glad to hear they're stepping up and taking care of you Drob! Maybe you can convince them to do the paint while you're on a roll!
