| I would report it. Then take it to a paintless dent repair. They use dry ice to get the dents to pop out. You can usually get that done fairly cheap and not bother with reporting it since your deductible is $500. Maybe find one of those places if they are open tomorrow and see what they would charge.

| I live in Kansas and we're known for hail and Tornado's (Like this weekend) and I've never filed a claim for hail. It usually as you wrote fixes itself or is less then the deductible until it gets to be golf ball size.

| I hate the idea of having bondo on the A-pillar, which is the only one that might not pop back out. It was pretty big hail, largest I have seen personally, and made one hell of a racket with the fiberglass topper. I just called my insurance company and they said I could file a claim at any time if I so chose, so I'll see what can be done without insurance kicking in. Thanks Guys. and now back to Mods |

I'm no insurance agent or anything, but I think hail damage and windshield damage are covered under the 'comprehensive' part of your insurance, which usually carries a smaller deductible than, let's say, collision. Also, at least here in Maine, your insurance premium cannot increase based on a 'comprehensive' claim. I collided with a moose a few years back with a VW Jetta (usually a fatal endeavor, but my daughter and I were very lucky) and that type of accident fell under 'comprehensive'. My Comprehensive deductible was (and is still) $100.00, while collision is $500.00. A few months later I took a rock to the windshield...same thing, and my premium stayed the same. So go ahead and make that claim...It's what you're paying the premium$ for!
