| Toyota Tundra Nano Fiber Air Filter Media There are a lot of air filters and Cold Air Intakes (CAI) on the market promising to add HP and Torque but what about protecting the engine? I've been excited about this technology for many years and finally it's available to the rest of us. Amsoil carries the Donaldson Air Filters and nano fiber oil filters. Quote:

I've included a nifty PDF for those of you with a technical mentality.

| Squid, thanks for the info on the filter media. This helped me decide that the Volant PowerCore was the CAI I was going with. And the post by wleeb with the great price he found finalized that decision. I ordered mine today and hope to have it installed soon after it arrives.

| I bought the Volant because of the Nano Fiber technology and the fact it's a dry filter which means there's no oiling. As to which one is better? That all depends on what your criteria is. For me living on a dirty dusty road in dirty dusty Kansas the Proven battelfield filtering of the Donaldson Filter (Read The PDF) makes the Volant better for me. Not to mention the fact that servicing an Air Filter isn't fun. They both claim around the same HP and Torque so it's all up to the individual. Now If we both have the same truck and I have the Volant and you have the TRD which truck will be faster? That answer is easy, the one driven by the guy with the most racing experience. Buy want you want and never look back is what I always do. |
